We are excited to invite all current second and third-grade students to join the Columbia Grammar Summer Camp this year!

Brian Loesch (PE and swim teacher) and Carly Bressler (third-grade teacher) are teaming up to offer our older students an exciting summer full of a wide variety of activities!

ABOUT OUR CAMP

The newest division to the Columbia Grammar Summer Camp will offer an interdisciplinary program where all campers can feel success in many new, exciting activities geared specifically for older students! All groups are led by Columbia Grammar head teachers. Campers use air-conditioned third and fourth grade classrooms as their home base. These are equipped with computers, arts and crafts, libraries, games and more.

FACILITIES

Our three unique outdoor play yards are surfaced with a specialized rubber cushioning for safety. Other facilities include a gymnasium, 60-foot indoor heated swimming pool, recreation center and lunch room.

DAILY SCHEDULE

Our daily schedule runs from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A typical camper’s day may be as follows: Choice activity on arrival (organized physical sports, fitness & fun game) followed by a morning project and lunch. An afternoon project (philanthropy, arts & crafts, STEM) along with swim and a closing meeting to conclude the day.

PHILANTHROPY

Campers will be active in philanthropy with organizations such as ALSF (Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation) in support of childhood cancer, and Project Linus, which provides homemade blankets to children in need.

SPORTS, FITNESS, & FUN!

Campers will improve their physical skills through a variety of sports and fitness games, free swim and instructional swim with qualified instructors. They will also strengthen their mental selves through yoga and guided meditation.

ART ACTIVITIES

Projects may include active artist studies and art projects inspired by Keith Haring, Peter Anton, and Roy Lichtenstein. Projects may also involve jewelry making, cartooning, mural making, jewelry creation, and so much more!

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Students will dive into STEM projects, such as Scratch, and create machines. There will be talent shows, dance parties, color war, and more!
