Grammar School (Pre-K, K & 1)

After completing your application online, you will be e-mailed a check-list of items that are required to complete the admissions process.  They include:

  1. Playgroup/Interview – While children meet in a small playgroup, parents tour our school with one of our Parent Ambassadors. The tour will last approximately one hour. Parents will also have the opportunity to meet with a member of the Admissions team for any further questions.
  2. School Report - Submit the “Transcript Release” form to the applicant’s current school. This form enables the school to send a current school report directly to the Admissions Office.
  3. Photo – It is recommended that you upload a photo of the applicant to our online system, though not required.
  4. Testing -  Although we do not require testing for Grades Pre-K through 1st grade, we will accept AABL (Admissions Assessment for Beginning Learners) as part of our application process. If your child is taking AABLE for another school be sure to list Columbia Grammar as a recipient.  AABLE is administered by ERB (Educational Records Bureau), you may visit their website at https://www.erblearn.org/parents/admissions-testing-aabl.
